My name is Stewart, and I am a native of Alabama. I was born in Auburn and grew up in Anniston. At an early age, I took interest in business. After school, I would sit on the stairs of my father’s workshop and talk to him about his business, especially taxes.

I watched my father, a self-taught bookbinder, start and grow his business, and I saw the ups and downs and everything else in between. Through watching my father, I learned what it took to be independent.

An important lesson that I learned is that the business owner is carrying the weight of the business on his shoulders. To me, it means the owner is furthering the company on his own will. No one else is going to come behind and pick up the pieces.

However self-sufficient business owners need to be, they do need someone to help them understand how their operations translate into the language of business, which is accounting.

This is where I feel that I’m most suited to help people. Taxes and Accounting can seem like a mystery, but I want to bring clarity.
